Every MGS game he infiltrates he gets captured he escapes theres some kind of twist he fights metal gear he fights a boss I think he has fought a sniper in every game as well...maybe not 2...he always fights some weird little clique of bosses straight out of a comic book.

you are confusing the concept of rehash with the concept of reducing a game to its simplest elements. if you applied that pessimistic attitude to every other series, your going to be shocked to find that they all share similarities in the characters and events across the sequels.

The best thread of the year for the best game coming this year.

Adding information about MGO will improve this thread also. You may say it's an other game but it became only the multiplayer of MGS4. So I think it would be very good to give some information about that.uRan_Ehr

I am having some problems incorporating the timer into the original post...the javascript thing isn't working. GS is just ignoring it.

So if anyone can let me know how to do it, or can point me to someone who has it in their sig that'd be great.

Update: added a link to TVB's GTA IV hype thread.

This could become a tradition in SW for big games. I had a lot of fun makin' this one.

Btw, if anyone has suggestions for improvement or additional sections, feel free to shout.

Willy105 usually does a hype thread for each big game but it's like he knew fuzz and TVB would do one for MGSIV and GTAIV, lol.

In other news, MGSIV comes out when I don't have uni. :)

(GTAIV comes out a week before my exams...)

This thread keeps getting better and better, I know it is going to be alot to ask for, but, does putting a prologue for the game into the thread makes sense or what?, I wanna see everything MGS series related to be posted. :)
